The excellent Buffalo band Murder! — which has carved out its own distinct punk-and-metal-infused sound — will be dropping a new single on Friday titled ‘Paper Heart.’ We were given the opportunity to listen to the track and like everything else the band puts out, it’s high-quality work. Heavy, fast and furious with powerful vocals, ‘Paper Heart’ is a prelude to a forthcoming EP on which Murder! is now working. We look forward to what else the band has in store for us. You can follow Murder! on their socials HERE and on Spotify HERE. You can also Pre-Save HERE the new single. Murder! will also be playing Riff City on Friday night opening for Green Jelly. You can learn more about that show HERE.
Hell yeah, Neon Fantastic is back at it with a new song called ‘Fuck a Flag.’ No word on its official release, but that doesn’t mean you’ll have to keep your eye on the streams in order to hear it. That’s because Neon Fantastic has two shows upcoming — one of which is this Saturday, Aug. 17, at 8 p.m. at Tudor Lounge, and the other will be Aug. 26 at 7:30 p.m. at Amy’s Place. In the meantime, you can follow and listen to Neon Fantastic HERE.
GumShoe will release its new single, ‘Monster Bitch,’ and an accompanying video on Friday. The song was recorded at GCR with engineer extraordinaire Jay Zubricky. The new work marks the first music released by the band since guitarist and vocalist Tim McJury joined the group in wake of the sudden passing of Jared Diehl. GumShoe’s new video will premiere on YouTube at midnight on Friday and the single will be dropped that day on streaming platforms. Watch 1120 Press later this week for more on the band’s new forthcoming work.
Matt ‘Sledz’ has a made a name for himself on the scene for his excellent photography and you might know him too as the founder and publisher of the new skateboard ‘zine ‘97 Mag.’ But he also writes and releases music under the name ‘Supertest’ and he has a new single that will be dropping Friday called ‘If I Would’ve Left.’ Pre-Save Supertest’s new song HERE. Matt reports he’s been writing prolifically as of late on the music front and we hope that means we’ll be hearing even more from Supertest soon! Meanwhile, follow him on Insta HERE.
We’re a little behind on this, so our apologies, but since catching up we’ve had this song on heavy rotation. It’s called ‘Summertime Robe’ and it’s from Buffalo indie band Uncanny Valley. You can listen to the band’s new single HERE. And, while you’re at it, you can also keep up with all that Uncanny Valley has going on HERE. The new single dropped on July 31. Get on it; it’s the perfect song for the season. Uncanny Valley has ALSO made it to the FINAL round in the Battle of the Bands to play at this year's Borderland Music Festival. Join the band and the other finalists @townballroom on August 22nd. Doors open at 6:30 PM. Each person who shows up for a respective band will count as a vote for that band.
