SOUND BITES: A Round-Up of New Music News from the Buffalo Scene

(EDITOR’S NOTES — Bands across the scene in Buffalo have been working on, and releasing, new music at a furious pace. In an effort to keep up with what’s happening, 1120 Press, on occasion, will be publishing ‘Sound Bites’ to highlight what’s brand new, and what’s coming, as it relates to recorded music. Feel free to give us a heads up at 1120press@gmail.com … ** New music, and news relating to music releases only; please do not send information relating to shows.)

Prairie Pavement has dropped a new single today titled, ‘My Cousin’s Graduation.’ You can check out the new song HERE. Prairie Pavement is one of Buffalo’s best live bands and if you haven’t seen them yet, you can do so tonight when they play The Cave with Romcom Victims and Pretty Good State University. Doors at 7. Music at 8.

Vinzrin continues his prolific solo output with a new single that dropped today. Titled ‘Spectre,’ you can listen HERE. Check out all his other music too HERE.

akloh., the relentlessly gigging and multi-talented Buffalo solo artist, has been hard at work and is gearing up to drop new music in early August. We’re pretty excited about all that akloh.’s been up to, and watch his socials for an imminent announcement. Keep an eye on 1120 Press as well for more information that will be coming soon on all that akloh. has in store.

Adam Putzer — former guitarist for Buffalo indie band The Tins, who performs now as a solo artist under the name asalone — has been working on new music. Look for a new single dropping from this gifted artist in the fall.

Speaking of The Tins, a new record will be dropped in late August by former Tins’ keyboardist Mike Santillo. Performing now as a solo project called Matches Laces, an EP release show will be held Aug. 24 at Duende with special guests Addison Logan and Adelaide. You can listen to the first single from the forthcoming Matches Laces record HERE. Watch 1120 Press for more on this new EP.
